Bridges to Understanding provides the tools and training that enable kids around the world to tell stories from their own lives and cultures. These stories are shared through the BRIDGES website where students can engage each other, ask questions about each others’ lives and explore their cultures. Middle and high school students in the developed world connect with their contemporaries in indigenous communities established in Peru, South Africa, India, and Guatemala. New communities are coming on-line regularly as Bridges continues to expand.
You can extend the work that Bridges is doing around the world by becoming a Bridges member.
A $25,000 Founders membership donation will give you all Visionary benefits listed below plus an international trip with Bridges funder and internationally acclaimed photo journalist Phil Borges, to a Bridges country for a complimentary Digital training workshop, including a private photography session with Phil Borges.
A $15,000-24,999 Visionaries membership donation will give you all Ambassador benefits listed below plus an international trip to a Bridges country for a complimentary Digital story-telling workshop training and a signed print by Founder Phil Borges.
A $5,000-14,999 Ambassador membership donation will give you all the Chairman's Circle benefits listed below plus a complimentary Digital Training workshop in Seattle and a print signed by Phil Borges.
A $2,500-4,999 Chairman's Circle membership donation will give you all the Internationalist's Circle benefits listed below plus a dinner party with Phil Borges, signed copy of Women Empowered by Phil Borges, invitation to annual private reception for Bridges International Ambassador Evening, and naming rights for Travelling School Digital Storytelling bag (includes cameras, software and other technology needs to outfit a school for digital storytelling).
A $1,000-2,499 Internationalist's Circle donation will give you all the Global Citizens Circle benefits listed below plus a personalized school program tour led by Executive Director Greg Tuke.
A $500-999 Global Citizens Circle donation will ive you the following benefits: 1) an invitation to a Digital Storytelling Workshop training Showcase wine and cheese evening, 2) founding member designation on current memberships, 3) Bridges e-news updates, and 4) recognition on a published honor roll of Bridges donors.
Country Diplomats - $15,000 All country diplomats receive the same benefits as Visionaries, noted above. These gifts, dedicated to partnerships with a designated country below, support the annual staffing, equipment and year-long teacher coaching support, and provide an annual Digital Story-telling Workshop in the designated country, and similar support to the partnered US School site.

Scholars Fund: All donors to the scholarship funds receive: Bridges e-news updates and recognition on a published honor roll of Bridges donors.

Supports scholarship assistance for up to two teachers to be trained in Digital Storytelling
Student Scholarship Fund $100-249
Supports scholarship assistance for up to two low-income students to be trained in Digital Storytelling
