OUR PARTNERSHIP WITH GETTY IMAGES

There are countless examples of businesses partnering with non-profits, but rarely is there the type of synergy created by common values and multi-layered engagement as that enjoyed by Getty Images and Bridges to Understanding.

Getty Images believes in the power of imagery to communicate across cultures and to inspire positive change. To support the mission of Bridges to Understanding to use youth-created multi-media stories as a catalyst for reflection, dialogue and ultimately for global change, Getty Images provides free office space to Bridges in Seattle and a complete Media Management System tool to store and manage all of the organization's digital assets. In addition, Getty employees generously give their time as volunteers, helping with a variety of projects and tasks in the office and in Bridges classrooms throughout the course of every year.

In May 2009, Bridges awarded Getty Images and its employee volunteers with the first Bridges to Understanding Humanitarian Award “in recognition of their commitment to the power of digital storytelling to communicate and connect across cultures and inspire positive change.”

We are honored to be a member of the highly respected Getty family.
