Cuzco, Peru $2,735 adults, $2,235 teens** (with an adult)

Travel to Peru as a BRIDGE’S mentor! You’ll work with the students of Colegio Pukllasunchis www.pukllasunchis.org/ to create a unique portrait of an indigenous community in transition. In this workshop we will use photography, digital storytelling, and the internet to create an online, interactive virtual community. Our goal is to bring the lives of Peruvian youth into classrooms around the world.

Join us for our second intensive workshop in the informal settlement of Wallacedene in Kraaifontein outside of Cape Town. This is a wonderful opportunity for families to experience the colorful world of the Xhosa community of South Africa. Cape Town and its surroundings offer magnificent diversity of landscape, including mountains, lush gardens, wine country and sandy beaches.

Dharamsala, India ($3,135 adult, $2,635 teen**(with an adult)
(Includes lodging - double occupancy, travel insurance, and in-country travel if you fly to Dharamsala from Delhi Oct 16 and back on the 26th; single occupancy may require additional fees)

You will surely enjoy the opportunity to intimately work with and photograph the colorful residents of Dharamsala, home of the Dalai Lama and the Tibetan government in exile. This workshop will focus on photography's power to give voice to people who are often marginalized, and will explore how we can use photography as a tool for empowerment.

Santiago Atitlán, Guatemala, ($2,535 adult, $2,035 teen**,(with an adult)

In Guatemala we will collaborate with Fotokids, a local nonprofit that helps youth from the poorest of barrios develop useful, employable skills as a means to self-exploration, expression, and discovery. Storytelling will be at the heart of the workshop, as we work in collaboration with young Mayan photographers to explore the rich narrative opportunities in this community.

SEATTLE WORKSHOPS 2008-9
Seattle, Washington
In this workshop, you will work with a small group as you explore the digital photography and image editing process, learn how to create a meaningful story with your pictures, capture and edit sound and narratives, and create a multimedia production for publication on the web. By the end of the weekend your group will have completed a multi-media story and you will be ready to share your skills with students around the world.
